CLAT 2027 Registration Starts Today: Application Form, Eligibility, Exam Pattern & Last Date

The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) released the official CLAT 2027 notification on 22 July 2026, confirming the complete admission schedule for the 2027-28 academic session. According to the notification, online registration opens tomorrow, 3 August 2026, and will remain open until 31 October 2026.

The CLAT 2027 exam is scheduled for Sunday, 6 December 2026, to be conducted in offline (pen-and-paper) mode from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM in a single slot across 130+ exam centres nationwide. Candidates will be able to select 3 centre preferences while filling out the application form.

Importantly, the Consortium has confirmed no changes to the CLAT syllabus or exam pattern for 2027 — both the UG and PG papers will follow the same structure as previous years. The Consortium’s Expert Committee Report on potential future changes is open for public feedback until 31 August 2026, but these suggestions will not affect the 2027 cycle.

CLAT is the gateway to 26 NLUs across India (a 27th, NLU Delhi, conducts its own separate entrance test, AILET).
